Psychedelic Integration Therapy
The renewed interest in psychedelics has sparked a movement that emphasizes the use of psychedelics and non-ordinary states of consciousness for mental health, creativity, and personal development. Recent clinical research is demonstrating promising outcomes when psychedelic substances are combined with psychotherapy to address PTSD, anxiety, depression and other mental health conditions.
Due to the historically underground nature of psychedelics, finding therapists who are knowledgeable and trained in supporting individuals during these experiences has been challenging.
I am a psychedelic-informed therapist and I offer a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space to process expanded states of consciousness for therapeutic reasons and personal transformation.
Psychedelic Integration Therapy is a form of therapy that involves working with a therapist to process and integrate the insights and experiences gained from psychedelic experiences such as those induced by ketamine, plant medicines, breath-work, or intensive meditation. Psychedelic integration therapy recognizes that psychedelic experiences can be profound and transformative, and that the integration of these experiences is crucial for long-lasting benefits. Integration therapy typically takes place after the psychedelic experience and involves one or more sessions.
The therapy typically involves exploring and understanding the insights, emotions, and memories that emerged during the journey, as well as making connections between the psychedelic experience and the individual's beliefs, behaviors, relationships, and life goals.
The focus of psychedelic integration therapy is on incorporating the lessons and revelations from the psychedelic experience into one's everyday life. The therapist may help the individual identify practical steps, behavioral changes, or mindset shifts that can support the integration process. They may also provide resources, tools, or practices to help the individual sustain and build upon the insights gained from the psychedelic journey.
I use various techniques, such as talk therapy, somatic, ecotherapy and mindfulness practices, and other alternative therapies to support the integration process. Psychedelic integration therapy aims to maximize the therapeutic potential of psychedelic experiences and supports individuals in translating their insights into meaningful changes and continued growth in their lives.
Disclaimer: I provide psychotherapy only. I do not work directly with plant based medicines or psychedelics.
